This is the fifth time in line where PKS Gdańsk-Oliwa SA have been honoured by titles of the Business Fair Play 2007 and the Business Gazelle 2007. To read more go to subsite "Awards and Distinctions".

Such was the title of the yearly road carriers' conference organized by PKS Gdańsk-Oliwa SA. This time it was held between 27th and 28th October 2007 and it gathered representatives of more than thirty Polish road transport companies, which strictly cooperate with PKS on a daily basis. Speakers such as professor Włodzimierz Rydzkowski and professor Zdzisław Kordel of the University of Gdańsk touched as important questions as the quality of transport services and fitting them into more and more diverse needs of the clients. Traditionally one of our major clients presented organization's requirements and expectations towards transport service providers taking her company an example. The speech was welcome with understanding and the fact it was made directly to those who were concerned was the advantage. The lecturers also paid lots of attention to such important matters as how to prepare and to secure shipments for transport and the security of shipment in transit. The lectures lasted until 7 PM, when finished as usual the hosts gave an official dinner for all the participants combined with live music entertainment in the latino rhytm.

Between 17th and 19th August, 2007 2nd National Rally of CB Users took place at the area of BP Partner Station in Podgaje (south of Poznań, western Poland), which gathered lots of fans of CB radios. The event made an excellent opportunity to show a traffic rescue action put on by the fire brigade at the car park in place. Organisers also prepared a bonfire, various contests, shows and life music to entertain crowds of participants. Representatives of the police, road traffic inspection and municipal police also took place in the event presenting their specialised equipment to the audience. Our company presented there a road train powered by DAF FAR XF 95.430. Parallelly to the event representatives of the management of PKS Gdańsk-Oliwa held meeting with HGV drivers for the possibilities of cooperation. It was the PKS GDANSK-OLIWA SA Board initiative to organize a weekend out for many of the Company employees and their families between 11th and 13th May 2007. "ZAWIATY" Recreation Resort was chosen for the location as it belongs to the Company and it is conveniently located only 80 km away from Gdańsk, by Jasień Lake, beautifully surrounded by the forest. The agenda included lots of games and contests in the open and other attractions, which Zawiaty can offer. As the weather was good, everybody returned home keeping their mood high.

This was the title of the annual conference held by PKS GDAŃSK-OLIWA SA in Gdańsk-Sobieszewo between 21st and 22nd April 2007. More than 100 representatives of numerous companies of manufacturing and merchantile sectors from all over Poland participated in the event. Individual panels were presented by such speakers as Mr Tomasz M. Zieliński, President of the Board of ABC Akademia Ltd, professor Włodzimierz Rydzkowski, Department of Transport Politics of the Economic Faculty of University of Gdańsk, assistant professor Zdzisław Kordel, Department of Logistics of the Economic Faculty of University of Gdańsk and Mr Ernest Czermański of the Institute of Transport by Sea of University of Gdańsk. The Conference was concluded by the official dinner which was accompanied by the amusing skit show by 'Duo' troupe (consisting of brilliant actors: Marian Opania and Wiktor Zborowski).

On 31st January another three brand new road trains joined the Company fleet. Consistently the new truck units are of DAF make type FAR XF 105 and of loading space of 54cbm each truck and trailer (ca. 110cbm per tandem). They have initiated the new series of purchase planned for year 2007.
